The 21-year-old, who has been the back-up behind Jahrome Hughes and Cameron Munster, suffered the injury while playing for the Storm's feeder side in the Queensland Cup on the weekend.
"Unfortunately, scans have confirmed Jonah has ruptured his ACL which will require surgery in the coming days," Storm's director of football Frank Ponissi said in a statement.
"Jonah has been in good form this season and whilst this is extremely disappointing, we will support him and his recovery to ensure he has every opportunity to get back on the field as soon as possible."
Pezet started in the first three rounds this season while Munster was out with a groin injury and has played 10 games since making his NRL debut last year.
