Sally is the founder of Bowen’s Natural Therapy Centre initially starting in 1993 in a Chiropractic Centre and then pursuing her own practice in Keene Street Cessnock. In 1999 she went into a partnership with Steve Johns purchasing the current building in Cumberland Street.
Sally is a Sports/Remedial Therapist, a Bowen Therapist currently finishing her Masters. She also is a Medical Herbalist working closely with Denis Stewart as his assistant Herbalist. She believes this combination gives her a broad look at symptoms and conditions and can direct you to any one of these modalities to suit your specific problem.

Steve is the other partner at Bowen’s Natural Therapy Centre and has been practising for 16 years as a Personal Development Coach and recently went to the USA to upgrade his qualifications to Advance Personality Trainer of which there are only 2 currently in Australia at his level. He is also a speaker and author.

Denis has been practicing Herbal Medicine for 40 years and has been the major principle in teaching herbal medicine at his school and continues to be a major influence in the understanding of the benefits in the field of Herbal Medicine.
Western Herbal Medicine is the oldest system of medicine in the world today. Its aim is correcting imbalances and resolving patterns of dysfunction in chronic condition.

Trevor has been practicing Bowen Therapy for 11 years since 2005. He has a passion for Bowen therapy and has seen the positive results of this therapy over the many years and how it has the ability to change lives.
Trevor is a Cert IV Bowen Therapist with the Diploma of Bowen Therapy and currently completing his masters. He has known Sally and Steve at Bowen’s Natural Therapy Centre for a number of years.

Chris is the registered Osteopath and joined Bowen’s Natural Therapy Centre 14 years ago in 2002. He has been practicing as an osteopath since 1999, after graduating from The British School of Osteopathy in London. To graduate as an osteopath involves doing an intensive 5 year Degree.
Since then, he has learned additional skills including a course in acupuncture and applied kinesiology.
Apart from manipulation Osteopath use other techniques such as stretching, pressure and mobilization with both muscular and skeletal systems.
Chris looks at a whole persons problem rather than just than just a symptom.
Chris assesses patients problems in conjunction with X-Rays and MRI’s ordered by himself.
He addresses the underlying causes of many areas including:
- Shoulder and arm pain
- Neck pain
- Back pain
- Carpel tunnel.
Shakira started at Bowen’s Natural Therapy Centre in 1998 as a PA to Sally and then onto Front Office Manager. She is currently our Practice Manager and BAS registered bookkeeper for all our accounts.
Shakira is an integral part of our team and virtually runs us all in time management, office procedures and structure for current and new therapists. And we do as we are told!!! ☺☺☺
