FOLLOWING his sell-out season at the Sydney Opera House, Irish-born comedian Jimeoin is bringing his show Jimeoin on Ice to The Hills.
The Belfast-born comic and father-of-three, came to Australia in 1988 as a 22-year-old on a working holiday and never went back, except for the occasion holiday.
He got his break at an open-mike night at Sydney's Harold Park Hotel and now, more than 30-years later, is widely considered one of the most influential comics of his generation.
Like any good comedian, critics say Jimeoin's skill lies in his impeccable timing and charming observations on the absurdities of every-day life.
Jimeoin's new 90-minute show includes his observations on the art of holding in a sneeze during a conversation, the way humans compartmentalise memory and the dynamics of long-term couples as well as a sequence on the facial expressions of drummers.
Jimeoin on Ice is on at Castle Hill RSL Club on Thursday, October 15 at 8pm. Tickets are $35. To book, call 88584838.
