Music law lifted

03 Nov, 2009 12:14 PM
THE local entertainment scene has been given a boost thanks to the abolition of special licences required for local venues to play live music.

Australasian Performing Right Association director Dean Ormston said: ``This is fantastic news for live music in NSW''.

``We are very pleased that the Government has replaced the Place of Public Entertainment licences with a much simpler and cheaper way to allow local eateries and watering holes to host live music,'' he said.
