ARE you over the age of 55?
Do you enjoy meeting people and trying out new things?
Make sure you take advantage of our packed Seniors Week Festival, which starts this Saturday, February 27, and runs until Wednesday, March 31.
I'm pleased to announce this year's festival includes two guided Hawkesbury River cruises from Berowra Waters, table tennis and tenpin bowling events, cupcake-making workshops and much, much more.
This is a great opportunity to get out and about in Hornsby Shire.
The festival acknowledges and celebrates the important contribution seniors make to our community.
Other events taking place as part of the festival include free woodworking workshops in Thornleigh, sessions at Hornsby Library to help seniors learn about YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, and several events for seniors at local clubs and community centres, with discount meals.
You can also learn about tai chi, sun safety and how to safely use motorised scooters and wheelchairs.
For more information or for a copy of the full festival program, visit www.hornsby.nsw.gov.au/whatson or call 98476050.
