DELTA Goodrem admitted in an interview on Radio 2GB that she plays with her The Hills basketball team of old as often as possible when staying in Sydney.
``We've been playing together since I was 10, so they're close friends,'' the 23-year-old star told morning talkback host Jason Morrison last Thursday.
Morrison has been standing in for Alan Jones during his recuperation from surgery.
Goodrem was spruiking up her latest single, I Can't Break It To My Heart, and her triple-platinum album, Delta.
Morrison told Goodrem that a woman caller had asked him if a girl playing in a basketball team at The Hills was actually Goodrem. The woman said she'd watched a match and then asked some girls in the team if one of the players was Goodrem. She believed it was.
``No, no, that's not her,''one player replied.
``That's Melissa. She just looks like Delta.''
Laughing, Goodrem said it was her, though she wasn't as fit as she used to be and came off after a game all red-faced.
A tall girl, she said she'd been playing with the one team since a child and they were naturally protective of her.
