The body of the 48-year-old woman was found at 4pm on Saturday in bushland within the Berowra Valley Regional Park.

Police had been coordinating a search of the area over past couple of days.

The woman was last seen walking along a road in Pennant Hills on the morning of Tuesday, February 7 and was reported after concerns for her welfare.

The body has been formally identified and her relatives have been informed.

A post mortem examination will determine the exact cause of her death but it is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
