THERE are only eight days left to the Hear the Children Early Intervention Centre charity movie preview night on November 23.
There are still some tickets left and lots of goodies for participants.
So grab a few friends to have a fun night watching the action epic Immortals while help hearing impaired children at the same time.
The movie night, hosted by Olympic gold medallist Kerri Pottharst at Event Cinemas in Castle Towers, aims to raise funds for the Kellyville-based centre which teaches hearing impaired children to listen and speak in preparation for school.
Hear the Children has been helping hearing-impaired children for 38 years.
Nine out of 10 of the children in its service will attend a mainstream school with language skills on par with hearing children.
The centre's co-president Yvonne Keane said it costs $15,000 a child, each year, to provide this therapy.
"Unfortunately, we receive very little government funding, and must rely on the generosity of our community to continue to change these children's lives," she said.
"We hope that The Hills community will rally behind us and enjoy a wonderful night out, in Vmax luxury, for a wonderful cause."
There will be lots of raffles, auctions and prizes including a Heavenly Body treatment package worth $365 courtesy of The Temple Skincare; more than $500 in vouchers for evening childcare and cleaning services from Dial-An-Angel; Castle Towers gift vouchers; a three-course dinner for two served in Loxley's 1864 private dining room; a Hugo's private party for 50 guests; and V8 Supercars passes.
Tickets for the movie night cost $30 and include a gift bag with prizes.
These include a voucher for a computerised skin analysis and a skin peel courtesy of The Temple Skincare (worth $80); a Rebel Sports hat; movie vouchers; a Cosmopolitan magazine and Macleans Milk Teeth samples.
