Youth stabbed

AN Annangrove youth, 18, is

in intensive care after being stabbed in the chest during a brawl on Evans Road, Glenhaven, on Friday.

Police are investigating the possibility the victim and four friends were involved in a Halloween prank in the street which ended with a fight with six others.

The victim told police he was punched and pushed to the ground by one offender, then punched on the chest and kicked. The alleged offender then fled in a white Holden utility with red and white number plates and red driver P-plates.

The injured man was rushed to Westmead Hospital with a eight-centimetre-deep stab wound to the chest, cuts and bruises.

He underwent open-heart surgery and is now in a stable condition in intensive care.

The offender is of Middle Eastern appearance, about 18, 185-190cm tall, with a solid build and short brown hair.

Castle Hill police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, to call 96805399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
