02 Feb, 2010 11:15 AM
POLICE divers searched Norwest Lake in Bella Vista on Thursday seeking a knife that may have been used in the stabbing of a man at Kings Langley two weeks ago.

Police said several people were leaving an 18th birthday party in Plymouth Crescent, Kings Langley, about 2am on January16 when, it is alleged, there was an argument between two men in the street.

A man, 22, who intervened was stabbed several times in the chest and abdomen.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital and later transferred to the intensive care unit in a serious but stable condition.

Strike Force Kaluna, from Quakers Hill, was established and detectives arrested a Berkeley Vale man, 18, on January21. He was charged with causing wounding/grievous bodily harm with intent to murder. He was refused bail and is due to appear at Penrith Local Court on March5.
