THE Australian Hotel and Brewery took a hat-trick at the Australian Hotels Association Awards last week.
It won the state awards in the Best Family Friendly Hotel, Best New/Redeveloped Hotel and Best Overall Hotel of the Year categories.
The brewery also won medals for four of its boutique beers at the recent Australian International Beer Awards, with its Dark Lager voted best in class out of 1100 entries.
Hotel licensee Anne Robbie said the wins were a huge accolade and the result of much hard work.
"Winning this award has been the highlight of my career," Mrs Robbie said.
She said the brewery, which opened in July 2010, offered hand-crafted beer, fresh Australian produced food, a warm atmosphere, state-of-the-art sporting facilities and "true blue decor".
"The Australian Brewery caters for everyone, especially the little ones," she said.
"A dedicated glass enclosed kids' dining room catering for up to 80, along with an all-weather adventure playground, kids' activities, parents' change facilities and tasty kiddies' corner menu are just some of the reasons why families from all over Sydney are drawn to the hotel daily," she said.
"[The pub] also offers free face painting on Sundays with a family bistro featuring indoor and alfresco dining."
Mrs Robbie said the hotel and brewery was the result of "an amazing transformation, originally constructed within a large shed that existed from a previous smash repairs business".
"The Australian Hotels Association Awards for Excellence are recognised as the most prestigious in the hospitality industry," she said.
"The awards honour the achievement of excellence in NSW hotels across a variety of segments including dining, entertainment, facilities, marketing, training and community service."
The hotel is at 350 Annangrove Road, Rouse Hill.
