Big day in the water

27 Oct, 2009 09:52 AM
OLYMPIC swimmer Eamon Sullivan dropped into Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre's open day late last month, signed autographs and hung out with young swimmers.

The annual Waves Gift Race, sponsored by Waves and Speedo, was also held.

Swimmers from The Hills Swimming and Life Saving took on swimmers from Aquaburn, Castle Hill RSL Dolphins and Epping Bullets.

Natalie Fegan, from Castle Hill RSL Dolphins, was the winner of the women's event and Andrew Payne, from The Hills Swimming and Life Saving Club, won the mens.

Sullivan presented the winners with their Speedo merchandise prizes.

Other activities on the day included face painting, colouring competitions, giveaways, DJ dance competitions and a sausage sizzle.
