SPEED demon Scott Jennings of Kellyville is all fired up for this year's Yokohama Australian V8 Ute Series.
''The car looks good, we are getting ready and raring to go for the season,'' Jennings said.
The series opener starts on March 11 in Adelaide and Jennings' immaculate No.18 SS Holden is dressed to impress in the Samboy Chips/Hungry Jacks war paint (his major sponsors) with support from good mate Paul Morris (V8 Supercar team car owner).
''I'm pretty pumped,'' he said.
''The Clipsal 500 Opener Legends race is going to be a hoot with Paul on board and I'm really excited and appreciative of the sponsorship support we have on the car this year.''
Jennings' stunning No.18 turned plenty of heads at the final round of the 2009 Yokohama Australian V8 Ute Series.
''We've made some changes to the design but it looks sensational,'' Jennings said.
''Almost too pretty to race.''
The aim is for a top three finish in the series.
''It's been hard to secure sponsors and, now we finally have them, we want to be able to show them the rewards,'' Jennings said.
This is Jennings' fifth year racing utes.
Before that, he competed in HQ Holden Racing.
''Money is always the big thing in motorsport,'' he said.
''We have to get the car around Australia and it's a full-on circus but I love it.
''I have a huge passion for the sport and it's something the whole family enjoys.''
And the big goal?
To win the Australian series, of course. ''We have had a few wins in rounds along the way, but never taken out the series which is definitely my biggest goal,'' he said.
