Western Sydney Academy of Sport 's celebrity sports dinner

07 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
THE Hills business community will join western Sydney's most talented sporting athletes for a celebrity sports dinner.

The annual event, to be held at Castle Hill RSL on February 24, raises money for the Western Sydney Academy of Sport, which offers a range of high performance programs for junior athletes.

Academy chief executive Martin Bullock said the dinner was about raising funds and awareness to help talented junior athletes.

"An event like this is fundamental for the academy to provide more programs for more athletes," Bullock said.

Australian football and hockey are both being offered this year, meaning the academy can offer two new team sports for an additional 150 athletes.

This year's sports dinner will feature performances from Australian Idol winner Jack Vidgen and Australia's Got Talent singer Timomatic.

Tickets are $110 a seat or $1000 for a table of 10. Call 9894 9155 or visit the Academy website wsas.com.au.

¦Sponsors; Aces Air Conditioning, AIA, Australia Post, BT Life, Bic Services, Telstra Business Connect, Castle Hill RSL, Heartland Kia, IMS Group, Nirimba, NSWRL Western Sydney Academy, Pendragon, Ricoh, Suncorp, Taggart Nominees, Thomsons' Lawyers, Crowe Horwath, Woolworths Limited.
