Close to victory
Parramatta District Cricket Association missed out on winning the under 11s JH Creak Shield following a first-innings defeat to the Central Coast.
Parramatta had shown good form to get to the final but were outdone by Central Coast bowler Broc Hardy who claimed 4-7 from eight overs.
The inspired bowling performance restricted Parramatta to 53 in the first-innings with captain Harrison King top scoring with only seven.
Central Coast belted 6-93 in reply to seal a first-innings victory with Zachary L Foster the pick of the Parramatta bowlers claiming 2-10.
Former Swan signs

He was a member of the Swans maiden premiership in 2005.
In addition to his playing duties with the Eagles, Buchanan will also assume the role of assistant coach with a focus on mid-field, stoppages and clearances.
Joining Buchanan at the Eagles in 2013 is former Sydney Swans rookie Eugene Kruger and former Collingwood listed player Trent Stubbs.
