Mini Einsteins can get their fix at a series of science workshops run by the CSIRO during the school holidays. Workshops are held all over Sydney, at North Ryde, Stanmore, Caringbah, Castle Hill, Hornsby, Oatley, Randwick, Concord, Crows Nest, Curl Curl and Parramatta, and are split into junior and intermediate programs. The activities include building a working propeller, making your own alarm clock, constructing and programming a Lego robot, experimenting with balloons and making a catapult. TWILIGHT PIZZA NIGHTS
Take your family to Sydney Observatory to view space through its giant telescopes while enjoying pizza, drinks and a Milky Way dessert. The Art Gallery of NSW is running holiday drawing workshops in conjunction with the Dobell Prize for Drawing, the most respected award for drawing in Australia. Children get to tour through the exhibition and learn a range of drawing techniques using easels and a variety of different dry materials. FLOAT YOUR BOAT
