Help wanted: Riding for the Disabled NSW

Help wanted

Riding for the Disabled NSW Tall Timbers Centre at Box Hill is looking for volunteers to help expand its programs for people with disabilities.

The centre will still provide riding to groups and individuals during school hours but will expand into afternoons and early evenings.

For more information visit the centre's stand at Rouse Hill Town Centre on Thursday and Saturday in the town square, or email talltimbers@rdansw.org.au.

Teleschool model

The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children's telepractice service has been modelled in a new book teaching organisations how to deliver the high quality service.

RIDBC Teleschool: Guiding Principles for Telepractice outlines the institute's model of telepractice aimed at delivering services to remotely located families which are equal to those in metropolitan areas.

Drainage works

A section of Jenkins Road in Carlingford will be closed for drainage works for about a month.

The section of road is between Moseley Street and Post Office Road.

Pits will be upgraded and 1200 millimetre wide pipes will be installed under Jenkins Road to help prevent flooding.
