Reader of the Week: Elly Glendenning of Glenhaven

Three people I would love to invite to dinner: Buddy Holly, Hugh Jackman and Melina Marchetta.

The most amazing thing I've ever done is: Travelled through south-east Asia.

The best advice I ever received: "Always be yourself".

I would spend my last $10 on: Probably a book.

My biggest fear is: Balloons.

My fantasy job: One I enjoy being at everyday.

If I could travel back in time I would love to . . . Grow up in the 1960s when there was limited technology and the music was good.

People say I look like: My parents.

My favourite phrase: My mum says I ask 'Can you just let me finish?' a lot.

My last meal would be . . . Rockmelon or choc chip cookie dough ice cream.

I'm always being asked: "Do you ever stop talking?"

My first car was: A gold Volvo. Very stylish.

What people may not know about me: I broke my leg when I was four after being hit by a push bike.

A movie I think everyone should see: Without a Paddle. It's so stupid that it's good.

I will never throw out: Things people have given me: letters, photos etc.

My biggest fashion faux pas: Some people would say most of the things in my closet.

On my bedside table is: A lot of books.

Weirdest thing in my glovebox: An invite to my friend's navy graduation.

My earliest memory is: Camping at Racecourse Beach at Ulladulla.

Favourite book as a child: I really liked the Cairo Jim series by Geoffrey McSkimming.

I love living in Glenhaven because: Everyone is friendly [and waves] even if they don't know you!
