Share house assault
A Northmead man, 22, was taken to Westmead Hospital on Tuesday after an assault at a share house.
Police said the assault occurred at 11.20am on Margaret Street when another man forced open the victim’s door and punched him twice in the head.
Police said the man suffered a cut above the eyebrow and inside his mouth.
Generator taken
Police are looking for two men who stole a Yamaha petrol generator from Castle Hill’s Boating Camping Fishing store.
Police said the thieves concealed the $2000 generator under another cardboard box and attempted to leave the store without paying.
When asked by a staff member to uncover the box they allegedly verbally abused a number of staff.
They were last seen driving away in a white Holden Commodore.
Police described the pair as being of Caucasian appearance.
One had a blonde mullet with shaved sides.
Two break-ins in one day
There were break-ins at Northmead and North Rocks on Tuesday.
Police said at the first break-in thieves stole a cash register from a Ventura Road house at 1.13pm.
This was followed that evening by a break-in at Muirfield High School where several rooms were ransacked but nothing was taken, police said.
Sweet-toothed thief
Police are investigating a Baulkham Hills break-in where thieves are believed to have stolen only chocolate.
On Wednesday the flyscreen of a house on Windsor Road was forced open between noon and 4.40pm.
Police said the intruder ransacked a number of bedrooms before eating some chocolate and leaving the house.
They took the fridge
An investigation is under way to find out who stole a refrigerator from a house in Jenkins Road, Carlingford on Tuesday.
Thieves broke into the house between 5.40pm and 9.15pm to steal a large refrigerator.
Police said nothing else was taken.
Drivers test positive
Castle Hill Police charged three motorists for failing breath tests during Operation Drink Drive last month.
The three-day operation breath-tested 583 motorists with two drivers charged with low range drink driving and one man for a mid-range reading.
Another 42 fines were handed out to motorists for a range of infringements including registration, speed and restraint offences.
