Two men trapped after Castle Hill car crash

Two men escaped more serious injury when their car crashed into a ditch in the front of a house at Castle Hill this afternoon.

Fire-Rescue officers worked to free the men as they were treated by ambulance paramedics and a CareFlight trauma doctor.

The crash happened near the intersection of Old Northern Road and Oxley Avenue with the car narrowly missing two power poles before it landed in the ditch.

On release the men, believed to be aged in their 30s, were taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital under treatment by the CareFlight doctor.

Both remained in a stable condition on arrival at the hospital.
