Woman sexually assaulted in Baulkham Hills

Detectives are appealing for public help as they investigate the abduction and sexual assault of woman in Baulkham Hills.

About 1am today, Sunday, March 3, the 18-year-old woman left a house party on Merindah Road.

As she walked alone along Merindah Road, a green coloured sedan stopped next to her near St Michaels Place.

The car contained five males who asked for directions to a nearby shopping centre.

The woman gave directions and continued walking.

Officers said she was then grabbed from behind by one of the males and forced into the car.

Police said the woman was driven to an unknown location nearby and sexually assaulted by a number of the males.

They said following the assault, the woman was driven to Waterloo Road at Castle Hill and released.

The victim reported the matter when she got home.

She was taken to Westmead Hospital.

Detectives from The Hills police and State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad are conducting inquiries into the incident.

The man seated in the front passenger seat who asked for directions has been described as being around 25 years old, of Caucasian appearance, with a chubby build and a beard.

He was wearing a red and white flannelette shirt at the time.

Descriptions of the other four males are limited at this stage.

The car they were in has been described as a green coloured sedan.

Investigators have been told the car and males were seen outside the house party on Merindah Street earlier in the night.

Police want anyone who saw the vehicle in the area on Saturday night, March 2 or Sunday morning March 3 or who has information about the identities or whereabouts of the five males to contact them immediately.

Anyone with information should call Castle Hill police or Crime Stoppers, 1800 333 000.
