Councillors salute reserve name change

Last week Hills councillors stood — at the request of Councillor Ray Harty — to show they unanimously supported the renaming of Wrights Road Reserve, Kellyville, to Centenary of ANZAC Reserve in the lead up to the 100th anniversary of the Anzac campaign.

The new war memorial at Wrights Road Community Centre will be opened on Sunday, April 21.

The remembrance stone and plaques from the old Arthur Whitling Park war memorial will be moved to the Kellyville site soon to make way for the construction of the North West Rail Link's Castle Hill Station.

Send public submissions to thehills.nsw.gov.au or to PO Box 75, Castle Hill, 1765.
