Wests Tigers' depth is set be tested after a Keith Galloway injury.
Initial reports suggested the pectoral injury suffered against Penrith Panthers on Sunday will keep Galloway off the field for a minimum of six weeks.
Depending on the severity, it may also see him miss the rest of the season.
With fellow prop Matt Groat still sidelined and Galloway's attack partner Aaron Woods still working his way back to full fitness after an injury-interrupted pre-season, the Tigers head into this Friday night's clash against the Parramatta Eels at a size and experience disadvantage.
While 20-year-old Jack Buchanan has been a standout in his first two games, his style is based more on agility and footwork rather than dominating the collision.
Containing NSW prop Tim Mannah and the rampaging Fuifui Moimoi won't be easy.
Both only know one direction — and no, that's not a boy band reference.
Second rowers Liam Fulton, Braith Anasta and Adam Blair are more renowned for their footwork and ball handling rather than ability to burst through the opposition's defence.
In need of someone that can provide some go forward, there are a number of options in the lower grades.
Wests Tigers NSW Cup coach Paul Fletcher said if called on Jesse Sue and Shaun Spence could fill the front row void.
"The front runner would be Jesse Sue — Shaun Spence is still recovering from an injury last season," he said.
"Jesse is not huge but he is super fit.
"He's nowhere near as big as Galloway but he's bigger than what he looks.
"He's got footwork and an offload that can create that second-phase play."
