The Australian Hotels Association and Baulkham Hills MP David Elliott have donated an Event Cinemas Castle Hill Gold Class movie experience to parents from the Woodbury School.
The Australian Hotels Association bid on the 45 Gold Class Experience tickets, donated by Event Cinemas Castle Hill to raise funds for the World Childhood Foundation, which helps children at risk from sexual exploitation and dislocation due to war.
The tickets were then given to Mr Elliott who chose to host a special evening for the parents of students at Woodbury School — a small independent school for children with autism in Baulkham Hills.
Organiser Gareth McCray praised the decision to offer the prize to parents living with the challenges of bringing up autistic children.
"Woodbury uses applied behaviour analysis to teach children the skills they need to live independent lives," Mr McCray said.
