Crash injures three

A car driven by a 22-year-old P1 licence-holder hit a tree in Redden Drive, Kellyville, on Saturday, injuring three passengers.

Police say the female driver from Kellyville was driving a red Toyota Corolla along Redden Drive about 11.50pm when she "lost control of the car and crashed into a tree outside No. 20".

"The force of the collision caused the tree to fall over," a police spokeswoman said.

She was not hurt but her three passengers were taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.

Police said a mid-range blood alcohol reading of 0.136 was recorded.

The driver had her licence suspended.

She is due to appear before Parramatta Local Court on January 6.

Fire death mystery

Castle Hill police have asked for witnesses to come forward after the death of a 32-year-old woman who died in a Rouse Hill house fire last week.

Detective Inspector Rob Critchlow said Parwinder Kaur had placed a call to

triple-0 about 2.10pm on Monday, December 2.

Police and paramedics found her with severe burns when they arrived at her house on Greensborough Avenue.

Over speed limit

A 32-year-old motorcyclist from Baulkham Hills was fined $2197 on Tuesday for riding at 144km/h in a 60km/h zone in Baulkham Hills.

Police say the man was stopped by Highway Patrol officers at 4.10pm at the traffic lights on Olive Street and Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills.

He was issued with an infringement notice and had his licence confiscated.

Burglars at work

An engagement ring and designer handbags were among items stolen during five house robberies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Cash, cameras, a handbag and jewellery were stolen from Highs Road, West Pennant Hills, between 7pm Saturday and Sunday morning.

A ladder was used to access Glenridge Avenue, West Pennant Hills, between 4pm and 11pm on Saturday.

Jewellery was taken.

An iPad and jewellery including an engagement ring were stolen from a house in Marina Road, Baulkham Hills, between 8.45am and 1.10pm on Friday.

In Excelsior Avenue, Castle Hill, a safe containing gold and jewellery, which was bolted to a shelf in a bedroom, was stolen between 10.30am and 1.30pm on Friday.

In Thornton Avenue, Carlingford, cash, designer handbags — including Louis Vuitton and Gucci items — were taken, along with a laptop, an iPad and a large amount of cash some time between 7pm and 9.35pm on Sunday.

Theft from car

A passport and university assignments were among items stolen from a white Hyundai Getz parked in Jordana Place, Castle Hill, between 6.30pm on Friday and 9.30am on Saturday.

Police say the window of the locked car was smashed to gain entry.

Personal paperwork was also stolen from the vehicle.
