ABOUT 30 students at Quakers Hill High School will build and supply free, painted timber classroom dividers to pre-schools and childcare centres in Blacktown.
They recently completed a pilot project to supply their first timber classroom dividers painted in Aboriginal style to Castle Hill Preschool at Cecil Avenue.
The high school plans to supply these dividers to all preschools and childhood centres in Blacktown under the school workplace skills project early next year.
School careers adviser Brendan Hutton said four dividers were delivered to Castle Hill Preschool last month.
He said his school recently received a $20,000 grant from NSW Government for the development of workplace skill project for the students.
"We are using part of the grant for the project to provide these dividers to all pre-schools and childcare centres in Blacktown especially those in Quakers Hill," he said.
Educators interested in getting these classroom dividers should contact Quakers Hill High School on 9837 1533.
