Hills Hornets announces rep teams

The Hills District Basketball Association has announced it's senior representative teams for 2014.

All-star Paul Brotherson is again the headline name in the men’s squad but once again is unlikely to spend more than three-quarters of the season in Australia, due to his overseas commitments in Germany.

Brotherson led the Hornets into last year's playoff series but the local team could not progress any further, once their high-scoring star left the program to return to his professional team in Europe.

The Hornets women's team is also very similar to last year, with the addition of Laura Anderson from the now-expelled Parramatta Basketball Association.

Anderson had a sterling junior career but found life tough with the lowly-ranked Wildcats and will be looking forward to being part of a much stronger program.

The Hornets women progressed to the second round of the playoffs in 2013 before losing to eventual runners-up the Hornsby Spiders.
