QUENCH your thirst for craft beers this Australia Day at The Australian Hotel & Brewery.
The pub's beer ambassador David Ward said punters would be able to taste-test The Pilsener and other craft beers in their Beer Tent, located in the pub's car park.
The Pilsener won Best Craft Beer at the 2013 Beer and Brewer Magazine Awards and is a finely balanced lager with a slight bitterness but still really drinkable, Mr Ward said.
"We will also have our extra hoppy ale — it's an American Amber Ale," he said. "When we're saying 'extra hoppy', we're really saying extra flavour.
"It's got a slightly higher alcohol hit that contributes to that flavour. We will also have our cider or our pale ale, one or the other, for tasting."
Not a beer drinker?
There will also be plenty of family entertainment at the Brewery this Australia Day, including performances from grunge cover band Seattle Sound (from 8pm in the AB Sports Bar), children's entertainers The Jitterbugs (from 6pm), a petting zoo, face painting, a Best Aussie Dressed competition (to be judged after 7pm), and a Name our next Beer competition.
Dubbed the Twilight Family Carnival, the evening raises money for children's charity Variety.
