Reader of the Week: The Hills mayor Michelle Byrne

Three people I would love to invite to dinner: I've chosen four: Kate Middleton, Watson and Crick (discovered structure of DNA) and George Mendel (father of genetics).

The most amazing thing I've ever done: Become The Hills mayor and marry my husband Matt Fuentes.

If I was down to my last $10 I would spent it on: My nieces and nephews.

My greatest fear: Snakes, clowns and Elvis impersonators. I am not sure when, why or how I developed these phobias.

My fantasy job is: High Court judge or an actress.

If I could have a superpower it would be: Magically making people's problems disappear.

My hidden talent: Animal balloon twisting.

If I could travel back in time, I would love to meet: William Shakespeare.

The one thing I will never throw out: My PhD thesis — too much blood, sweat and tears went into it.

I'm always being asked: "What's it like being the mayor of The Hills?" and "Is the North West Rail Link really coming?"

What people may not know about me is: I am a Nintendo addict. I love playing Super Mario and Donkey Kong games.

I wish I hadn't: Given up playing team sport.

My earliest memory  is:   playing on the bikes at playgroup.

On my bedside table is:  lamp, books, bobby bins, TV remote and moisturiser.

People say I look like: A carbon copy of my sister Alison.

The best advice I ever received was: "You can achieve anything you put your mind too, don’t let anyone tell you any different."

My favourite phrase is...  ‘‘You must be the change you wish to see in the world’’, Ghandi.

My last meal would be: Green Thai curry or a cheese pizza.

My first car: A Ford Laser.

The best advice I ever received was: You can achieve anything you put your mind too, don’t let anyone tell you any different.
