IT'S time to recognise the best businesses in town with The Sydney Hills Local Business Awards.
Nominate a business who makes getting a haircut, buying coffee, or buying any product or service the highlight of your week.
The awards are also a chance to reward businesses who employ local people, bring economic drive to the area and support local community organisations.
Businesses who receive commendable public support throughout the nomination period will be selected as category finalists.
Only one business per category can be nominated by an individual. All voters will go into the running to win a Sony PlayStation 4.
Once finalist businesses have been confirmed, judging begins.
Finalists will be evaluated on their ability to excel within a variety of fundamental business principles encompassing the full service experience.
This includes personalised customer service, the appearance and presentation of the business and staff, value for money, and merchandising and presentation of product and service offerings.
Judging is carried out by independent people and is anonymous to accurately reflect the service experience an average customer could expect.
Major sponsors are The Hills Council and Black Nova Digital with support sponsors Castle Towers, Westfield North Rocks, Stockland Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill RSL, Sydney Hills Business Chamber and Rouse Hill Town Centre.
The media partner is Hills News.
Nominations close Wednesday, March 12.
