Expectant mums from The Hills get fit and healthy

Castle Hill personal trainer Mary Bacon can add book author to her already impressive resume after the recent release of her first book Pregnant, Fit and Fabulous.

The mother of two, who is also a radio presenter, magazine columnist and self-confessed foodie, said she is passionate about giving pregnant women the tools to have a healthy gestation and baby.

In the book offers specific and targeted exercises and general health advice to keep pregnant women healthy, happy and less prone to developing gestational diabetes.

"As a mum I have first hand experience," she said.

"I wanted to give people clear instructions with no jargon.

"My fitness programs will help pregnant women stay strong, toned, and healthy," she said.

"The exercises are safe and structured in a manner so they can minimise the possibility of developing gestational diabetes."

The personal trainer also has a program at community radio Alive 90.5 called Lifestyle Today every Friday from 6pm to 7pm.

In it she features medical professors, doctors, alternative health professionals, motivational speakers and authors.
