THE third annual Cherrybrook Movie Under the Stars is on Saturday with the movie Monsters University.
There will be a barbecue, fairy floss and novelties, as well as tea, coffee, cakes and lots more.
Before the movie, Cherrybrook school bands and dance groups will perform on stage, the Cherrybrook Rural Fire Service will provide water-blasting fun and the Cherrybrook AFL club will also put on activities.
Other features include the Scouts NSW climbing wall, a bouncy castle and the Gamerz mobile video games van.
Australian Olympic hurdler Michelle Jenneke, from Cherrybrook Athletics Club, will be an ambassador for the event.
"I love it when a community works together to support young people and the Cherrybrook Movie Under the Stars event is all about doing just that," Ms Jenneke said.
Entry is a gold coin to help local kids.
"We sent over 50 Cub Scouts — the largest contingent in Hornsby Shire — to the 2014 Cuboree event for five days of youth leadership and skills training, made possible by the funds raised at this event," Cherrybrook Scout Group leader Peter Thomson said.
■Gates open at 5pm, movie starts at 7.30pm.
