Castle Hill Players' madcap romp through the Bible

FROM floods and arks to wise men and ducks, Castle Hill Players' latest production is a witty and playful journey through the Bible.

Writers Adam Long, Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, who brought audiences the entire works of Shakespeare in a single evening, have returned with The Bible: The Complete Work of God (Abridged).

Director Annette van Roden described the play — performed as part of the Pavilion Theatre's Adventures in the Foyer series — as "a madcap night of theatre".

"It's full of witty wordplay, physical humour and catchy tunes," van Roden said.

"This is probably the most exuberant production I've ever directed."

The show runs until Saturday, March 22, with performances on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8.15pm, Sunday at 4.30pm and a Saturday matinee at 3pm.

There will be wine and snacks available for purchase during the performances at the intimate venue with cabaret-style seating.

Tickets are from $25.
