Norwest Business Park turns out first uni graduates

It has been a year since The University of Notre Dame and the Hills’ business community’s education partnership began, with postgraduate business courses taught at Norwest Business Park.

A ceremony to recognise the first of the program’s graduates was held on March 12 with Hills mayor Michelle Byrne, Baulkham Hills MP David Elliott and School of Business dean Geoff Morris in attendance.

Professor Margot Kearns, pro-vice chancellor academic, Sydney said the anniversary was a promising sign for the future of business in Sydney’s north-west.

“With the increased population throughout the Hills district, Notre Dame is offering world-class postgraduate courses to the current and next generation of business leaders close to where they work and live,’’ she said.

Kristina Genovese, an events manager at Hockey NSW, was one of the first students to complete a postgraduate business degree at Norwest.

She said it had increased her career opportunities.

Postgraduate course applications for 2014 are now open. Details: 8204 4404,
