Bella Vista ampitheatre work begins in June

The Hills is close to having its own version of a Roman colosseum, with the announcement work starts in June on Bella Vista Farm Park's amphitheatre outdoor stage.

This follows new approval by the NSW Heritage Council who previously gave the green light, pending further site investigations which are now done.

Mayor Michelle Byrne said it would give artists and performance groups more venue options at The Hills.

She thanked Baulkham Hills MP David Elliott for securing $123,500 in NSW government funding for the $500,000 project.

"Over the last decade we've opened up wonderful Bella Vista Farm to the public and events there are increasingly popular," she said.

Auscorp Corporations was awarded the tender to build the stage last September.
