Baulkham Hills pedestrian killed

A Baulkham Hills pedestrian, 73, died in hospital on April 2 from injuries  suffered after she was hit by a motorcycle and a car on Old Northern Road on March 31.

Witnesses told police that at about 7.40pm on March 31 the woman attempted to cross the road after getting off a bus travelling north when she was struck by a white Suzuki motorcycle driven by a Baulkham Hills woman, 34.

That impact caused the woman to fall into the path of southbound traffic where she was clipped by a blue Subaru driven by a female Baulkham Hills driver, 44.

The pedestrian was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition with multiple fractures.

She was deemed ‘‘unresponsive’’ by doctors in Westmead Hospital on April 2 at 4pm.

Police have asked for any witnesses with information to come forward  by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

April Fools prank investigated

Investigations into an April Fools Day text messaging prank at Castle Hill High School are continuing.

A man has come forward on social media claiming to be behind the stunt but no one has been charged.

Castle Hill police crime manager, Detective Inspector Gary Bailey said such a prank had the potential to cause grief in the community.

‘‘We discourage anyone to get involved in this sort of caper,’’ he said.

Police school liaison officers and the proactive team have spoken to staff at Castle Hill High and investigations are continuing.

Wallet stolen from car

A wallet was stolen from a Toyota Hilux parked outside a house on York Road, Kellyville, on the night of April 2.

Between 8pm on April 2 and 5am on April 3 the front driver window was smashed and the wallet and its contents stolen.
