There is still time to jump on the purple bandwagon!
Registrations for the Hills Relay for Life are open and for $20 you can contribute to cancer research.
This year's event will be on May 3 and 4 and the Wrights Road Reserve, Kellyville.
It will be the 13th relay fundraiser held for the Cancer Council in the Hills.
Previous events raised $3million for cancer research and support programs for patients in The Hills.
The Hills mayor and co-chairwoman of The Hills Relay for Life, Michelle Byrne, said finding a cure for cancer is "more of a marathon than a sprint".
"More funding means we can put together more pieces of the puzzle,’’ Cr Byrne said.
"The Hills Relay for Life is a chance for the community to unite in an effort to raise funds and awareness to find a cure for cancer."
The first lap, at 10am, is for cancer survivors and carers and will be followed by a morning tea (contact James Butler on 0412 368 337 to register for this lap).
Event registration costs $20 per person and include a Hills Relay for Life purple shirt.
