Meegen Gamson's son left Arcadia Public School five years ago but that hasn't stopped her from helping out.

"I suggested holding the markets as a fund-raiser in 2009 and have been running it voluntarily for them ever since; it's such a lovely little school," Ms Gamson, of Arcadia, said.

The biannual market days are on May 3 and November 15 this year.

"The school used to host fireworks nights, but when the school became more about animals, well, horses and fireworks don't mix," Ms Gamson said.

"You can buy anything here, from the kitchen sink to hand-made.

"There's artists, homewares, clothing, food, cheeses.

"There are 80 stalls on average — about half of those are repeats."

The market is run by the primary school's parent body.

Money from this one will go towards a covered outdoor learning area for the primary school, Ms Gamson said.

She welcomed new stallholders.
