Western Sydney Wanderers are on the verge of playing in their second A-League grand final, but they will have to overcome their 2013 conquers.
This weekend the Wanderers must beat the team that defeated them in last year's decider, the Central Coast Mariners, who downed Adelaide United 1-0 in their elimination semi-final at the weekend.
The grand final qualifier between the Wanderers and Mariners will be played at Parramatta's Pirtek Stadium this Saturday and the winner will play whoever wins the second grand final qualifier between Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory.
If Roar win, the grand final the following week will be played in Brisbane.
But if they lose and the Wanderers win, it will be played at either Pirtek Stadium or ANZ Stadium.
In what will be an obvious advantage to the Wanderers, Central Coast will be playing the all-important match only a day after returning to Australia from Japan due to their Asian Champions League commitments, which has left the defending premiers furious at the scheduling.
