A man is to face court after allegedly being found with items stolen from mailboxes in West Pennant Hills, among other areas.
About 2.45pm on Monday, officers from the police transport command were patrolling around Carramar when they stopped a red Nissan Pulsar sedan.
After speaking to the driver, officers searched a 29-year-old male passenger and allegedly found cards, documents and a mobile phone believed to be stolen.
He was arrested and taken to Cabramatta police station.
Further investigations led police to believe the man allegedly stole documents from letterboxes in the Dulwich Hill, Homebush and West Pennant Hills areas.
The man was charged with five counts of appropriate mail receptacle and one count of goods in custody. He was also charged for an unrelated offence.
He was refused bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on June 24.
