A man has been charged over multiple robberies allegedly carried out at 11 locations — including Kenthurst and Rouse Hill — over a two-month period.
Officers from the Metropolitan Robbery Unit formed Strike Force Suberous to investigate numerous armed robberies in south-western and north-western Sydney between April 16 and May 12.
A 20-year-old man was charged today with eight counts of robbery with an offensive weapon and three counts of having his face blackened/disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The charges relate to:
The alleged armed robbery of service stations at —
■ Silverwater (April 16);
■ Auburn (April 17);
■ West Ryde (April 19);
■ Regents Park (April 22);
■ North Ryde (April 26);
■ Kenthurst (May 1);
■ McGraths Hill (May 9);
The alleged attempted armed robbery of services stations at —
■ North Ryde (May 5);
■ Ermington (May 8);
■ Dundas (May 12).
A restaurant at Rouse Hill was also allegedly robbed with a weapon on May 5.
The matters have been listed for mention in Burwood Local Court on Tuesday (June 10).
