Baulkham Hills man meets new Indian prime minister

Rahul Jethi of Baulkham Hills was a special guest at the recent swearing in of the new prime minister of India, Narendra Modi.

Mr Jethi, the convenor of the Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) and OFBJP president Balesh Dhankhar met with the new Indian Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, Venkaiah Naidu, to discuss closer ties between Australia and India.

Baulkham Hills MP and chairman of the Indian Ministerial Consultative Council, David Elliott said it was a great honour for a local resident to be part of such an internationally-significant event.

Mr Elliott congratulated Mr Jethi for the continued work he does in forging closer ties between Australia and India.
