Baulkham Hills Shire Netball Association has taken out the over-35s title at the 2014 Netball NSW State Championships.

Contested over three days at Campbelltown District Netball Association courts over the long weekend, this was a back-to-back win for the girls.

The Baulkham Hills side finished three points clear on top of the ladder with 14 wins and one loss, ahead of runners-up Manly-Warringah.

Baulkham Hills also fielded an open championship team which finished the tournament in fifth place with 13 wins, eight losses and one draw, while both their 17-and-under championship and over-40s sides finished sixth on their respective ladders.

The completed Masters ladder combines the over-35s, over-40s and over-45s teams who played each other during the weekend.

The division winners and runners-up were decided depending upon who finished highest on the ladder.

In taking out the open championship division, Orange Netball Association also retained the Pat Weston OAM Country Championship Cup as the highest-ranked regional association in the age-division.

Coach of the winners Division One over 35's, Lorraine Everett, said it was a privilege to coach such an "awesome team".

"I am so very proud of my girls, a champion team who played hard and put their bodies on the line every time they took to the court over the entire three days of the netball championships," Ms Everett said.

"That winning game against Manly will stay in my mind forever. Thank you to the great support from my brilliant manager Jeanette, and all our loyal family and supporters."

Captains Gail Jackson and Belinda Hill said: "A champion team will always beat a team of champions".

"So many laughs, great fun and sensational netball over the entire three days. Well done girls," Ms Hill said.
