Roll up your sleeves and give blood at Castle Hill RSL

The Red Cross Blood Service mobile blood service will be at Castle Hill RSL on July 7 to 9.

Red Cross needs 115 more blood donors to ensure enough supplies for patients in need.

Spokeswoman Jemma Falkenmire, said people should make an appointment so they knew ahead of time that the amount of blood and blood groups they expected to collect would meet the needs of hospital patients.

The service’s message: donate your blood for 10 minutes in order to save three lives. Australia needs 27,000 donations a week to meet demand.

Donations help people with various illnesses and conditions, including cancer and blood diseases, anaemia, and surgical patients to trauma patients.
