Staff at the Bella Vista and Castle Hill Bank of Queensland branches will dress in costume on Friday to raise awareness for the Children’s Hospital Foundation Australia.
Tellers will be dressing up as what they wanted to be when they grew up. It is part of the bank’s major fund-raiser, Banking On Kids.
The fund-raiser has been running for 10 years and has raised more than $1.3 million in donations. This year they aim to raise $300,000 to go towards equipment and research funding.
Donations can be made throughout the month of July at any local BOQ branch, by calling 1300 737 766 or http://boq.com.au/kids.
Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia is a national fundraising organisation supporting Australia’s five major children’s hospital foundations. The national network of children’s hospitals provides more than 1.65 million treatments for children each year, and its partner hospitals treat more than 4500 infants and children every day.
Through corporate partnerships, the foundation funds life-saving equipment, medical research and essential services not supported by government or a hospitals’ standard operating costs.
This funding is shared equally across all five partner foundations.
