THERE'S no horsing around with Annalise Gasparra's schedule.

The equestrian talent from Glenorie Horse and Pony Club is involved in a month-long series of mounted games events in the US.

"Everyone from Glenorie is just so proud of her," the club's senior instructor, Helen Graham, said.

Ms Graham said Annalise, who is the only New South Welshman in the under-18 five-person team from Australia over there, joined the pony club when she was 12.

"She's started off trying all the different disciplines . . . . jumping, dressage," Ms Graham said of now 15-year-old Annalise.

Once she got a taste for mounted games, Annalise never looked back, competing first in her pony club's zone event, and then going on to compete at events of the Australian Mounted Games Association.

"She was always the captain of our team going to the state mounted games.

"And then in the external comps she had some good individual championship wins at the state level," Ms Graham said.

"She's a real asset to our club, always helping with coaching our younger kids."

■ Mounted games — of which there are about 40 — are a series of very fast races. Pony clubs use these games to develop the riders' abilities and the horse's training, and in competition.

ANNALISE’S US COMPETITIONS:

■MGAA Nationals 2014, July 10-13 in Pennsylvania (national competition);

■Sizzlin’ Summer International Pairs, July 26-27 in West Virginia (regional competition); and

■Mid-Atlantic Games Series#3, August 2-3 in New Jersey (regional competition).
