Kellyville resident Geoff Bishop will join 70 other motorbike riders to travel around Australia from Saturday, July 26  to Tuesday, August 26 to help raise awareness of   depression and suicide prevention.

This is for the Black Dog Ride, an independent not-for-profit organisation that has raised over $1.3million for mental health since it was founded  in 2009.

Mr Bishop hopes to highlight workplace depression, as he feels it is something that most people are not aware of, with many opting to suffer in silence.

Funds raised during this year’s ride will go to Lifeline Australia’s suicide prevention programs and Mental Health First Aid’s teen course program. The Ride Around Australia departs from Bateau Bay, NSW on Saturday, July 26 and will finish at Bondi Beach on Tuesday, August 26.
