LOCAL school student and aspiring musician Sun Kim recently met Australian musician Josh Pike.
The James Ruse Agricultural High School student was one of only three selected to write the song for this year's Music Count Us In initiative.
Kim said the opportunity to write with Pike was amazing.
"I've been a big fan of Josh Pyke's music, so to be able to work with him on songwriting is a dream come true," he said.
The three students were chosen from more than 80 entrants and were selected by a panel which included program ambassador John Foreman.
Music Count Us In involves around 500,000 students, parents and teachers learning and performing the same song on the same day at the same time.
This is the event's sixth year.
