¦ July 10 and 13: Comedy and physical theatre duo, Carpe Idiotus — as featured on Australia's Got Talent — present an interactive and entertaining feast of mime, music and mayhem, 11am-11.50am. For all ages.

¦ July 11 and 12: Join musician Jonas Tandoh to hear the shekere and learn about traditional African music and its links to pop music, 11am-11.50am. Shekere (pronounced she-ka-re) is the name of the African percussion instrument made from the dried fruit of the gourd vine and loosely covered with a wide, decorative band of beads. For all ages.


¦ July 10-13: In Mask Menagerie, make and decorate a mouse, moose or monkey mask, 10am-4pm. For ages 3-plus.

¦ July 10-13: Cut out and construct a monster bookmark, with chomping teeth, 10am-4pm. Adult supervision: for ages 3-plus. Cost: $2 a child.
