FRENCH mime-magician Francois first appeared on Channel Ten talk show The Project, now he will appear in a Disney Channel children's documentary.
Underneath the white clown make-up, Patrick Taylor is one chuffed 13-year-old.
"The character Francois came about in year 5 when my French teacher asked me to do a magic show in school and she wanted it to be French based, so I thought 'French, magic, mime'," Patrick said.
Watch a video of Patrick's performance and an interview with the young performer, filmed by Carlos Furtado, below:
"Francois is a very accident-prone magician. He's not doing the magic; the magic's happening to him.
"I did one little show [at William Clarke College], really enjoyed it and so we're here now with it being an international act."
The July 18 episode of The Project followed Patrick and Victorian magician Lachlan Wilde in the lead-up to the 2012 Melbourne Magic Festival, where Patrick placed second.
He also came third when he performed as Francois for the first time in New Zealand in 2010.
"It was in an international junior magic championship and I was properly, properly, scared," Patrick said.
He started performing magic when he was six.
"The same age as me, coincidentally," said his father, Sean Taylor, a corporate magician and co-owner of the online Taylor's Magic Shop.
